In collaboration with GIFF, Skogen has invited REDAKZIA (Bucharest-based artist Maria Draghici and Stockholm-based curator Corina Oprea) to continue their video mapping of social realities of today. This time, they are working on the production of a an art documentary – 6714- using a method of processual art, a hybrid of an open editorial and film production conducted publicly in the festival environment. The work starts during Gothenburg International Film Festival, through an ongoing process of making and editing the footage, the Videozine becoming a collage of images from the original film (”Jag är nyfiken”), gathered, collated, associated with 2014 Gothenburg´s realities envisioned in pictures and interviews.

STATEMENT
Going back to school

A 2-weeks programme on alternative models of education and methods of knowledge circulation, taking shape through a series of workshops and public events, constructing a collective and public editing process of a publication-toolkit .


REDAKZIA becomes a collective and public editorial board where artists, curators, writers, scholars, activists and interested individuals will investigate the intersection between education and activism.

Various dispositifs will touch on the production of knowledge, through circulation, accumulation, shared and open processes and questioning the assumed authoritarian position when it comes to discourse, mediation of knowledge and delivery of educative information. The notion of passive spectatorship will also be put into question by engaging all interested visitors into the editorial process and by making public the editorial board meetings.


We believe in knowledge as a process of accumulation and shared information, experiences, opinions and references. Therefore, REDAKZIA works with a drafted glossary of words that trigger us in relation to knowledge production. The writing up on the draft will be done continuosly, through encounters we have, texts we read and people we meet. It is an open list where anyone interested in the topic is invited to add on.


REDAKZIA gathers contributors from Göteborg and elsewhere, associated with alternative forms of education. Formats will include dialogue tables, interviews and documentaries, screenings, common lunches. The outcome will be a publication.
